Have a big time in Boggy Country October 19th, 20th and 21st at the 42nd Annual Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival!  The 2018 festivities in Niceville, Florida are dedicated to the 150th anniversary of our community, which was established in 1868 as Boggy, Florida.  It’ll be an exciting weekend for the whole family, featuring astonishing arts & crafts, awesome amusement rides and games, all of your favorite festival foods (including the best mullet on the planet), and exceptional entertainment on the Mullet Festival stage.

Get ready for a party on Friday night with country music star Tyler Farr.  His chart-topping breakout hit “Redneck Crazy” and debut album of the same title made Farr a household name.  His trademark gravelly voice produced two more #1 hits, “Whiskey In My Water” and “A Guy Walks Into A Bar.”  Farr’s two latest singles, “I Should Go To Church Sometime” and “Love By The Moon,” are from his forthcoming third album, which is being produced by Jason Aldean.  The pair previously collaborated on “Damn Good Friends,” a track from Farr’s second album “Suffer In Peace.”

Montgomery Gentry is one of the most successful duos in country music history with hits like “My Town,” “Something To Be Proud Of,” “Where I Come From,” “Hillbilly Shoes,” “Lucky man,” “Hell Yeah” and “She Couldn’t Change Me.”  Their new album “Here’s To You” was meant to celebrate the duo’s 20th anniversary.  Following the tragic death of Troy Gentry in 2017, Eddie Montgomery and the band embarked on the Here’s To You Tour to honor T-Roy’s memory and say thank you to their loyal fans for two decades of support.  You won’t want to miss this epic show on Saturday night!

Sunday is alcohol-free family day, and bringing the festival to a close is the one and only Tracy Byrd.  The Texas troubadour topped the charts for the first time in 1993 with “Holdin’ Heaven,” and the hits just kept coming.  After taking a break from touring to spend time with his family, Byrd was back on the road in 2014 and released a new album two years later called “All American Texan.”  A set list featuring “The Keeper of the Stars,” “Watermelon Crawl,” “I’m From the Country,” “Lifestyles of the Not So Rich and Famous,” “Drinkin’ Bone” and more will make this a concert you won’t soon forget.

You’ll also see The Chee-Weez, a rocking 5-piece tribute/show band of unmatched proportion.  They will bring the party with all of your favorite music genres, from 70s funk to 90s rock and then some!  Also included in the lineup are Doctor Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster, Sweet Tea Trio, Dan Eubanks and local favorites The Mulligans.

Advance Tickets will be available online and locally for $10 each.  Tickets purchased at the gate cost $15 Friday, $15 Saturday and $10 Sunday.  Admission is free for children age 11 & under.  All tickets are single-day general admission passes, and concerts are included in the ticket price.  Buy online or view a list of local ticket outlets at www.boggybayoumulletfestival.info.

A limited number of discounted single-day ride armbands can be purchased in advance at select ticket outlets for $20 each.  During the festival, armbands will be sold at the festival midway for $25 per day, and individual tickets for rides and games will also be available.

The Mullet Festival Site is located at the intersection of Highway 85 North and College Boulevard in Niceville.  Gates open at Noon Friday, 11am Saturday and 11am Sunday.  Free parking will be available at Northwest Florida State College with $2 round-trip shuttle service provided by EC Rider.
